NZ Wine Tasting & Dinner - October 2014

Lovely dinner at The Don restaurant in London on Friday 24th October. A wide range of Kahurangi Estate and Kennedy Point wines were shown accompanying a delicious menu. Wines of the night? Hard to pick out one in particular. The Heaphy Pinot Noir from Kahurangi went well with the venison. And the Heaphy Savvy 2014 was a real pick me up aperitif! Oh and the Kennedy Point  Merlot 2007 went well with the cheeses!

Delightful company too!

Our menu and wine selection:

Aperitif: Heaphy Sauvignon Blanc 2014

- Scottish smoked salmon with lemon and sour cream blinis.
Wine: Mount Arthur Chardonnay 2013

- Roast haunch of Suffolk venison, pommes Lyonnaise, apple and pickled walnuts, sloe gin vinaigrette.
Wines: Heaphy Pinot Noir 2013, Kennedy Point Syrah 2012 & Kahurangi Syrah 2012

- Selection of cheeses followed by Panna Cotta with camomile and lemon zest.
Wines: Kahurangi Pinot Gris 2014, Kahurangi Montepulciano 2012, Kennedy Point Merlot 2007
