2013 Vintage in France - September 2013

It was a challenging year for the vignerons throughout France. After the coldest spring in 25 years, violent hailstorms hit many regions including Burgundy and Bordeaux as well as decimating the appellation of Vouvray in the Loire Valley.

 

However, thanks to a largely warm and dry summer, and a baking hot July, the quality should be very good, but the quantity well down compared with the average, once again.
