Our Autumn visit at the end of October is to the beautiful region of Tuscany coincides with the olive harvest, so olive oil will be fully explored as well as wonderful food and wine throughout this gastronomic, vinous and cultural weekend.
Our wine estates are all based quite close to one another in the Siena and Castellina region. We will be staying at the marvellous Riserva di Fizzano, owned by Rocca delle Macìe – a hilltop retreat, surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves and the vines that make our lovely Chianti Classico Riserva di Fizzano. Using this as our base, we will visit our other historic estates and meet the wonderful characters and personalities who make our wines. A highlight will be a special guided tour of the ancient town of Siena – with its winding alleyways, cobbled streets and historic buildings such as the Duomo and St. Maria della Scala, it is one of Tuscany’s most beautiful towns.
This will be a relaxing and convivial 3D experience where Italian food, wine and local culture will be at the heart of our weekend activities.
